PCB Layout

Once your controller design is finished and the schematic is captured, you are ready for PCB (printed circuit board) or PWB (printed wiring board) layout. Electronic Design Consultants uses IPC (founded in 1957 as the Institute for Printed Circuits) Certified Board Designers to ensure a high quality, noise-minimizing layout. Careful attention is paid to component placement to minimize trace lengths and circuit loops that can act as RF antennae to pick up or transmit unwanted noise. If you need controlled impedances or strip lines, single or 12 layer boards, we can do the job.

CAD tools include PCAD® and PADS®. Specctra® tools, CAM350®, and RSI Translators round out the tool set. We can generate Gerber files for transmission to a PCB fabrication house, or even do simple changes to an existing Gerber file. Electronic Design Consultants can also provide very low cost PCB’s through our network of fabricators.
